1953
- Cherry Corporation is founded by Walter Cherry in the basement of a restaurant in Highland Park, Illinois, USA.
1963
- Cherry opens its first European operation center in West Germany.
1967
- Tai-Hao is founded in Panchiao city, Taiwan
1967
- Cherry moves from USA to Bayreuth, Germany.
- Cherry begins producing keyboards.
1972
- Cherry establishes a joint venture with Hirose Cherry Precision Company in Kawaski, Japan.
1973
- Cherry introduces its first keyboard line.
1983
- The Cherry MX switch is introduced.
1985
- IMB begins production of IMB Model M keyboards, bundled with new IMB computers.
2005
- Das Keyboard is founded and launched their first Das Keyboard
2008
- Ducky is founded in Taiwan.
2010
- Ducky releases their first limited edition Year of the Zodiac keyboard - Year of the Tiger 2010.
- Razer releases the first mechanical gaming keyboard, the Razer BlackWidow.
2013
- Tai-Hao produce Cherry MX double shot keycaps.
2016
- Cherry becomes an independant company as Cherry Group.
2017
- Razer releases Razer Yellow linear switches.
2018
- Razer releases Razer Opto-Mechanical Clicky and Linear switches.
