Features
The Kinesis Freestyle Pro is a split ergonomic keyboard that prioritizes comfort, performance, and adjustability for both Windows and Mac users. It features Cherry MX Brown tactile mechanical switches, which provide a subtle feedback at the activation point to enhance typing accuracy and reduce bottoming out. With the SmartSet Programming Engine, the Freestyle Pro allows for onboard customization, letting users quickly switch between Windows, Mac, and Dvorak layouts or create custom configurations with ease.
The keyboard’s zero-degree slope design reduces wrist extension by keeping hands in a neutral position, unlike many keyboards that slope upwards. For added ergonomic support, the keyboard’s 20-inch linking cable can be adjusted up to 12 inches or extended further by unthreading the stored cable, allowing users to find the most comfortable setup. Optional tenting accessories, including the VIP3 Pro with palm supports and the V3 Pro without, provide three adjustable angles (5, 10, and 15 degrees) to reduce forearm pronation and improve comfort.
With a familiar key layout for minimal adjustment time and optional padded palm supports for additional wrist support, the Freestyle Pro is a versatile choice for users seeking both comfort and productivity enhancements in their keyboard setup.
